Department of Science and Technology Initiates Educational Reforms at Campus

This morning, under the chairmanship of Rajan Ghimire, the head of the Department of Science and Technology, a regular meeting was convened in the departmental office. The meeting marked the initiation of significant educational reforms aimed at enhancing the academic landscape at the campus.

ЁЯМ▒ Introduction of Agriculture-related Courses: The department has announced the commencement of teaching approved syllabi for Agriculture-related or complementary courses (Non-credit Courses) starting from Chaitra 21, 2080 (April 3, 2024). This move is poised to enrich the academic offerings and provide students with a diverse range of educational opportunities.

ЁЯУЪ Preparation for Class 11 Science Entrance Examination: In a bid to support students who have appeared in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), the department plans to prepare them for the entrance examination in Science subject for Class 11. This proactive measure aims to facilitate a smooth transition into higher education and foster academic excellence among aspiring students.

ЁЯОУ Introduction of Bridge Courses: Recognizing the importance of bridging academic gaps and ensuring a seamless learning experience, the department will introduce bridge courses within the campus. These courses are designed to equip students with foundational knowledge and skills, thus empowering them to excel in their academic pursuits.

ЁЯМ┐ Enhancement of Botanical Garden: To enrich the learning environment and promote hands-on learning experiences, additional soil and manure will be added to the existing botanical garden within the campus. This initiative seeks to create a conducive setting for practical learning and foster a deeper understanding of plant biology and ecology.

ЁЯФм Revitalization of ABC Science Club: The department has also resolved to revitalize the ABC Science Club, aiming to reignite students' passion for science and technology. By organizing engaging activities and events, the club endeavors to cultivate a culture of scientific curiosity and innovation among the student community.

These progressive initiatives underscore the department's commitment to fostering holistic development and academic excellence at the campus. As these reforms take shape, the department anticipates a positive impact on students' learning outcomes and overall educational experience.
