BA - Overview

Objective

• BA allows students to pursue careers in fields of interest ranging from painting, literature, and journalism to anthropology. 
• This course allows you to focus on two majors ( a double major) if you have several subjects you are passionate about. 
• It provides well-rounded experience in a wide variety of subject matter along with the practical ability to apply the acquired skills.
•  It offers students extensive skill sets to excel in many professions, such as teaching, research, and other social responsibilities in the private and public sectors. 

Scope

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is an interdisciplinary course introduced by Tribhuvan University under the Humanities and Social Science faculty.

Bachelor of Arts in Nepal is an art degree that focuses on learning human culture, history, literature, philosophy, the study of society, linguistics, psychology and more. 

This undergraduate program is taught in over 30 constituent campuses and over 300 affiliate colleges in Nepal. This allows you to choose from your desired colleges easily and enrol for the course.

Requirements

Students must fulfil the following criteria to enrol for a Bachelor of Arts in Nepal.

• Students must secure a D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12.
• Students must have completed a 10+2 level or equivalent in Humanities or Science or Management Stream from any University or Board recognised by Tribhuvan University.
• Students with +2 or equivalent qualification in any subject can apply for a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Social Work, Rural Development, and Sociology.
• To study Journalism and Mass Communication as a primary subject in the BA program, students must study Journalism/Mass Communication at +2 or PCL.
